Facilities Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen at All Saints’ Church in Lindfield, West Sussex, for a facilities manager to be involved in the day-to-day management and development of its church and residential buildings. This is a permanent position and may be part-time (minimum 25 hours per week) or full-time at 40 hours per week, by negotiation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all the buildings and grounds within the estate and be able to demonstrate relevant experience in buildings management, including health and safety, fire and risk assessments. Ideally, they will also possess some DIY skills such as painting and decorating, plumbing, simple electrical work, etc. In addition, the ability to organise and maintain a team(s) of volunteers to help with and support events, groups and activities in the church and Tiger complex will be essential.
The candidate for this challenging and rewarding ‘hands-on’ role should be prepared to undertake both physical duties (e.g. moving/stacking furniture, etc) and a certain amount of flexible working hours. For the right candidate, the opportunity exists to take on larger project management tasks.
There is an occupational requirement that the job-holder is a Christian under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010 and will be required to abide by and display the values and ethos of All Saints.
