February Update

Friday 12th February

Earlier this week we met as clergy and church wardens to review our current plans regarding church services. We recognised the encouraging news of falling Coronavirus case numbers in the local area, considered the wisdom of a careful and phased return, and acknowledged the restrictions and limitations which will likely be in place for some time to come.

In summary our pattern of services will be as follows:
- We will continue to live-stream a 9.15am service from the church building, without a congregation in February and into March.
- From Sunday 7th March we will resume our regular pattern of 8am Communion services. These will be our traditional said services from the Book of Common Prayer with communion in one kind, meeting fortnightly (1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays).
- We are hoping and planning towards a phased return of in-person services from Sunday 21st March and the staff team are thinking creatively about how to make Easter a special celebration.
- Our Service of Thanksgiving and Commemoration (planned for 21st March) has been delayed until Sunday 30th May at 10.30am, hopefully a time where more people will feel able to gather.

We will continue to monitor the local situation, national and church specific guidance with the goal of carefully returning to in-person worship. As part of this phased return there may be some activities that can resume sooner than others. Please be patient as we work through the practicalities of this approach and support the clergy and staff team as they continue to navigate the current restrictions.
With love in Him,

Katie Spensley and Laurence Trigwell

Who we are

All Saints is an anglican church with a strong evangelical tradition serving the parish of Lindfield in the Diocese of Chichester in West Sussex.

Although we are a local church, we are also committed to supporting God's work further afield - through the Sussex Gospel Partnership and through our many mission partners who are involved in mission work in this country and across the world.

Hugh LeadingOur aim is to be a welcoming Christian community, embodying as well as proclaiming the gospel of God.
Our belief as a church is grounded in the teaching of the Bible, the inspired Word of God. We joyfully acknowledge Jesus as our Saviour and try to follow him day-to-day as our Lord. We are not a perfect church, but we are trying, by God's grace, to grow in faith, hope and love each day. Our aim, therefore, is to be a disciple-making church, building up and growing mature followers of Christ who will be his witnesses in the world.
